"Die Geisha" is the same book as "Memoirs of a Geisha".

"Memoirs of a Geisha" was a great read, but "Die Geisha" is not a sequel. It is the same book, but it is written German for our German readers over seas.

By the way, if you haven't read the English version called "Memoirs of a Geisha", you should do so because it was a great book & I'll give it 5 stars. Too bad there is not a sequel. This book left me a yearning to read more ;) ......."easy reader"

The Best Book Ever

I read this book the first time 5 years ag. Since then, I get the book out every year and read it again. It gives me the same fulfilled feeling I got the first time through. This is one of the best books out there that leads you through an amazing journey of life's triumphs and tragedies and the decisions you must make. It teaches you the importance of respect, tradition, and why it is so important to maintain our cultures lest we loose of forget them. Don't pass on this one!

I recently read this book. It is an incredible read that sweeps you away into its depths. I too, like one of the other review writers thought it was a biography until the very end. And he/ she was right, it does seem to add to the excellence of this book. By the way, to all who may be interested... they are making a movie out of this book. HOPEFULLY it lives up to the book. If you haven't read it... do so!!!

Through these books, you will learn how to live a happier, more productive life, and will find yourself achieving more than you ever thought was possible. All four books are very well written and laid out, and are all strong contenders for the “best of the best” in self-improvement books. “Productivity Masterclass,” in particular, helped me to developer stronger productivity skills so that I found myself working fewer hours but accomplishing more during those hours. Can Akdeniz and Jonas Stark are fantastic writers, and great minds, to boot. Highly recommend this collection of books!

I received an advance copy of the Self Improvement Book: A Guide Book for Success from the publisher and just finished reading it. The book was easy to read and I couldn’t put it down. I felt like the autor was talking directly to me and I could relate to the stories that were told. After reading The Self Improvement Book: A Guide Book for Success , I now realize that I am the only person that can decide the extent of my own success in endeavors and jobs. I had been letting other people dictate my mood and then was bitter towards them for doing this. I now see that in order to live my best life I need to go where I’m celebrated, as the book says. It has only been a few days since taking this new approach but, not only am I happier because of it, I have noticed the people around me are responding to my positive attitude- an added bonus! I highly recommend this book to everyone. Can Akdeniz cuts right to the chase and tells it like it is.

Hilarious!

Amy sure knows how to tell it like it is....she really doesn't hold anything back. This laugh out loud book should be on any expectant mother's nightstand, whether you are on baby number one or four. Laughter is the best medicine...especially if your baby could possibly fall out of your body onto the sidewalk. A really fun read.

As someone who spent some time of my first pregnancy on bedrest, I could relate to many of the experiences in this book. Amy makes her tough journey HILARIOUS as well as touching. A must-read for mommies and women in general. CANNOT wait for her next one! Nice job Amy!

Brian Wildsmith was raised in a small mining village in England, where, he says, Everything was gray. There wasn't any color. It was all up to my imagination … Since then Wildsmith has created over 200 picture books, which have been translated into more than twenty languages. He was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal, Britain's highest honor for his ABC. Wildsmith is deservedly considered one of the greatest living children's book illustrators. In 1994 the Brian Wildsmith Art Museum was established in Izukogen, Japan.

Less than the best

I bought two copies of Brian Wildsmith's The Bremen Town Musicians for my granddaughters. I love Wildsmith's books, but this is the first time I've been disappointed by one. The Bremen Town Musicians was advertised as a new book on Amazon, but it is a reprint. That's one problem, but in my mind a minor one. The major problem is the quality of the reproduction. I don't know why they are this way, but the lines look blurry and the colors, normally bright and clean in a Wildsmith book, are often murky. Not very pleased with this purchase.

humorous story with luscious, eye-catching pictures

If you were a donkey which had grown old, couldn't work any more, was being sold, and decided to run away, where would you go and what would you do? The particular donkey in this story still has a fine braying voice, so he sets off for the famous city of Bremen to sing with the town band. Along the way, he meets a dog, a cat, and a rooster who are in the same situation as he, so he invites them along. They can hee-haw, howl, meow, and crow together in the band. But when they need a place to spend the night and something to eat, what will they do? And will they ever make it to Bremen?
This well-known Brothers Grimm fairy tale is here retold and illustrated by Brian Wildsmith, who was raised in a small mining village in northern England where, he says, "Everything was gray. There wasn't any color. It was all up to my imagination. I had to draw in my head." Since then, he has illustrated more than 200 picture books, many of which he wrote himself. In 1962 his ABC was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal, Britain's equivalent to the Caldecott Medal, and in 1971 The Owl and the Woodpecker was a runner up. The Brian Wildsmith Museum was established in 1994 at Izukogen, south of Tokyo, Japan. The Bremen Town Musicians is a book in which children will love both the humorous story and the luscious, eye-catching pictures.

A Real Treasure EVERY child must have.

I should have known that this would be a wonderful book, given it's illustrated by Brian Wildsmith! Anyway, I was Thrilled when I opened the package...as were my kids when they saw, as well, The drawings are so poignant! One can point out the signs of being older on the creatures. So much to talk about, as well as a delightful story no child should grow up without knowing. It has been 70 plus years since I mety the story, and It still brings me joy. Beautiful rendition!

This book is highly recommended for those needing statistics in their work, especially those at a graduate level. It explains concepts in a straightforward manner and in plain English, but also includes many mathematical treatments for those who want to understand the concepts at a more rigorous level.

This is a fine book on statistical methods. By reading it you will economically learn how to use statistics and the reasons why the methods work. Like I said , economically. It explains in a few pages what take other books chapters to explain and does it better. The examples are from physics. However they are not complicated so that a person reading this book can aplly its methods to any other science
